Overview
The Technical/ Light Industrial test range comprises the SkillCheck
Talent Scout Light Industrial test and Identity Risk Free, the ACER ability tests that have
been designed for people such as apprentices and those entering trades
roles, and the Employee Reliability Inventory.
The SkillCheck Light Industrial test measures both aptitudes and
attitude which may be required in a light industrial setting. It uses
Computer Adaptive Test technology which means that the test changes based
on the candidate's responses to particular questions. This allows for
accurate assessment of the candidate's ability in the minimum amount of
time.
The ACER Mechanical Reasoning Form A & B assesses mechanical reasoning
ability which can be defined broadly as the ability to perceive and
understand relationships between components within a mechanism.
The APTS Spatial Visual Reasoning Test is used to assess ability to
perform a range of cognitive tasks involving mentally combining and
manipulating shapes and patterns. It is a measure of cognitive ability
independent of language and assesses candidates' strengths in
visual-spatial thinking.
The Employee Reliability Inventory (ERI®) and SkillCheck
Identity Risk Free are valid, reliable, psychologically based assessments
to help select high performing and productive employees. They assess an
applicant's level of general work behaviour. These tools are particularly
useful where workplace accidents, unplanned and uncontrolled turnover,
inventory shrinkage, productivity issues and overall job performance are
important concerns.
