Overview
General Mental Ability tests are a good predictor of general
intelligence. The Rogers Group's General Mental Ability test range
contains the ACER Test of Reasoning Ability, SkillCheck's Cognitive Test
(Identity), Saville's Swift Analysis and The McQuaig Occupational Test®.
The ACER Test of Reasoning Ability is designed to measure general
intellectual ability for school leavers and general adult populations. It
comprises a series of items assessing verbal and numerical reasoning
abilities that have been found to be predictive of subsequent performance
in work settings. This assessment offers the benefit of combining
assessment of different cognitive dimensions in the one test, therefore
simplifying the administrative process.
SkillCheck's Cognitive Test is a reliable 12 minute test combining
Verbal, Logical and Mathematical Reasoning. It was developed by an
industrial psychologist and is fully validated within American EEOC and
Federal testing guidelines.
Saville's Swift Analysis contains 3 short tests measuring verbal,
numeric and diagrammatic analysis aptitude areas.
The McQuaig Occupational Test® (MOT) indicates an
individual’s level of general mental ability; the test measures several
key components of “intelligence”.
MOT test scores correlate highly with scores of intelligence. (Items
assess vocabulary, verbal reasoning skills and ability to perform simple
mathematical functions). Due to its timed nature, The MOT screens
efficiently for “bright” personnel who perform well under pressure in
business settings.
