McQuaig On-Line®

The ability to conduct business on-line has become a key strategy for many organisations. McQuaig On-Line® is the web-based assessment system that allows you to do assessments on-line quickly and efficiently using The McQuaig System.

McQuaig Word Surveys®, McQuaig Job Surveys® and McQuaig Self-Development Surveys® can be completed by candidates, current employees or managers on-line or you can enter already completed Surveys yourself. All Surveys are processed on a high-speed, secure server and you can choose which way your designated representative receives Survey reports in Word.doc or PDF format, either as an email attachment or a link to pick up the reports.

What are the advantages of McQuaig On-Line®?

McQuaig On-Line® offers the following benefits:

    With the 'Assign' option, you can even choose to have the candidate enter his/her responses so all your administrator has to do is input the candidate's name and email address, a process that takes about thirty seconds. How do I use McQuaig On-Line®?

After entering your user ID and password, you will be taken directly to the Surveys tab of McQuaig On-Line®.

From the Surveys tab you can click on the links to:

  • Assign a Word Survey, Job Survey or Self-Development Survey to a candidate or manager. They then receive a link to McQuaig On-Line® that takes them straight to the Survey
  • Enter the A, B, C, Ds from a Survey completed on paper or enter previously scored totals
  • Add, edit or delete job titles
  • Re-run a report
  • Create composites and comparisons.

    Once the candidate or manager has completed and submitted the form, your designated representative receives an email attaching the results in Word or PDF format, or a link to pick-up the Survey, usually within ten minutes.

The Explorer tab allows you to:

  • View all your Surveys
  • Find out if Surveys have been completed
  • Move, edit or delete Surveys
  • Create, edit or delete User Groups.

The Overview tab shows you:

  • A breakdown of your usage
  • Surveys due to expire.

You can use the 'Quick Links' to:

  • Find Surveys
  • Pick-up completed Surveys
  • Order more Surveys.

What is it like for the candidate?

We all know that most candidates are a little nervous when completing pre-employment assessments, so a great deal of time was spent designing and testing a candidate interface that is as user-friendly as possible.

  • The candidate is emailed a link directly to the McQuaig On-Line® Survey you have assigned, where they are given thorough and friendly instructions on how to complete the Survey.
  • There is dialogue box that pops up if they fill in a box incorrectly.

The candidate is informed that, although there is no time limit, the Survey should be completed quickly and that their time will be recorded.

What other features and benefits are there?

McQuaig On-Line® has useful features such as:

  • Candidates can be compared to a Job Survey
  • Interview questions can be customised by position

In addition:

  • You have the ability to key in responses for the candidate if a candidate does not have Internet access.
  • McQuaig On-Line® administrators can receive a Job/Candidate Report, request a composite report, choose Interview Questions that are customised to the job, select only those reports you want to receive, etc. all are available on line.
  • In accordance with Privacy Act legislation, before submitting, the candidate agrees to the use of his/her report information as specified.
  • New system upgrades and reports are available immediately.
  • You will be able to administer Word Surveys on current staff discreetly, if required, in order to find out how to supervise and motivate, to help analyse marked changes in behaviour, or for assistance in counselling sessions.
  • You are able to provide employees with a Self-Development report to help them maximise their strengths and manage their developmental areas more effectively.
  • Reports are available in English or French. On-line forms can be filled out in English, French, Portuguese or Spanish. Candidates can easily switch to the language of their choice. And, when they do, the whole site changes to their preferred language.

Bottom line, this is a cost-effective, efficient way to use our System.

The service is available on The McQuaig Institute® web site, it is ID and PASSWORD protected.

In summary, there are many ways that McQuaig On-Line® can make your task of defining jobs and assessing candidates easier.
